BOOK REVIEW BY: PATCHES, age 9
Book Summary: This book was about three dogs. It begins with two dogs named Ada and Troublesome. They are best friends. Then Troublesome got really sick. The doctors couldn't help him and he died. Ada was really sad after Troublesome died. In fact, he didn't feel like doing anything at all; not playing, not eating, not walking. So then the owner bought a new puppy to keep Ada company. But, Ada didn't like the new puppy at first. The new puppy tried to play with Ada but Ada just growled at it. After a while Ada decided to play with the new puppy and they became friends.

TITLE: DRAGON AND SLEEPY OWL
AUTHOR: LUCY KINCAID
ILLUSTRATIONS: ERIC KINCAID
BOOK REVIEW BY: JN, age 8
Book Summary: This is a book about an owl and a dragon. The owl can not go to sleep because all the animals in the forest are trying to talk to him. So the owl asks his friend, the dragon, to help him. The dragon stood under the tree and told any animal that comes to talk to the owl to go away. The bees sing a sleeping song and everyone falls asleep except the dragon.
Recommendation: I recommend this book to everyone because it is funny. All the animals wanted to talk to the owl but he was too sleepy to talk. At the end the owl woke up and laughed because all the animals were asleep. I like the illustrations because the animals are cute.
